Beschaffung für die Walther Flender Gruppe in China
Walther Flender group, Düsseldorf, is a supplier of drive and conveyance systems. In its main product group belt drives Walther Flender is the market leader. With 300 employees a turnover of about 65 million € is generated worldwide.
In order to increase its competitiveness in Germany and China, Walther Flender has been using the procurement service of FE since many years. Thereby FE takes over the following tasks in China:
- selection of suitable suppliers as well as joint visits with representatives of Walther Flender
- compilation of supplier audits locally incl. detailed reports
- negotiation of prices and delivery terms with the suppliers
- translation and exchange of technical documents, drawings and quality standards between the suppliers and Walther Flender
- pre-discussion as well as active follow up and performance tests during sample production
- close supervision of the series orders incl. deadlines and quality control
- organization of the shipment and the required documents of delivery
- ongoing analysis and adjustment of quality based on CAPA concept
The procurement and quality control team of FE carries out these tasks for a growing number of products and components as well as for complex equipment and assembly production of the Walther Flender plant in Changshu.
